Gabriella Giubilaro

Gabriella Giubilaro  is widely known for her dynamic teaching of Iyengar Yoga, her good humor, her attention to individual needs and clarity of her presentation.

She believes in communicating the essence of the Yoga postures through simple, but meaningful explanations that help her students discover the intelligence of their own bodies, challenging the students so that they can experience their maximum potential.

Gabriella began her Yoga practice in 1973 in Florence, Italy. Afterreceiving her Doctorate in physics at the University, Gabriella decided to dedicate her life to Yoga in the tradition of B.K.S.Iyengar. She has been studying with the Iyengars yearly since 1983. She holds an Junior Advanced certificate in this method. Since '87 she has been teaching at her own  Studio  in Florence as well as workshops in Europe and the States.

James Murphy

James Murphy began practicing yoga in 1968 and has made over 12 extended trips to India to study with B.K.S. Iyengar and family.

James began his study of Iyengar Yoga with Mary Dunn and Kevin Gardiner after 10-year career with the Alwin Nikolais Dance Theater.

James’ keen perception and skill combined with a natural talent for teaching make his classes rich, exhilarating and fun!

James is currently the director of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York and is certified at the Intermediate Senior II level.

Patricia Walden

Patricia Walden is a uniquely inspiring teacher who is renowned for her keen observation, the dynamic depth of her teaching, and the elegant refinement of her practice. Patricia has been a prominent figure in the evolution of yoga in the United States, and she has played an active role in the Iyengar Yoga community since the mid-1980s. She helped start the National Certification Committee and has served on it for more than 23 years. Currently, she is vice president of the B.K.S. Iyengar Regional Association of New England. Along with her teaching, Patricia is known for her yoga videos and writings. Her DVDs, including "Yoga for Beginners," were tremendously influential in the popularization of yoga worldwide. In 2004, she was cited by Yoga Journal as one of “25 American yoga originals who are shaping yoga today.”
Patricia’s classes are infused with wisdom, humor, and the philosophy of yoga. Her aspiration is that students leave class seated in their hearts with fearlessness, having touched the deeper levels of their being.

Stephanie Quirk

Stephanie Quirk has been living in Pune, where she studies with the Iyengar Yoga family and where she helps on the medical classes. 

Stephanie has a deep understanding of the teaching of B.K.S. Iyengar and she has the ability to transmit it in a clear and precise way.

Bobbie Fultz

Bobbie was a professional artist in scenic painting, decorative finishes, easel painting, and performance art, and taught drawing and print making before beginning to teach yoga in the Iyengar method in 1991. She is certified at the Junior Intermediate II level and has made 7 trips to Pune to study with B.K.S. Iyengar, and his children Geeta and Prashant.  Her home studio Yoga Vidya is in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
